5 Fave Fics Meme

Had a coupla tags for this, but I was too embroiled in icon making *cough*being lazy*cough* that I didn't do it. But, as I am a rice pudding enabler, entrenous88 is a meme enabler.

Post a list of your top five favorite fics you've written, regardless of fandom or the reason you love them. This isn't about the BEST things you've written, but what you LOVE most. Then tag five other people to do the same.



1. Pay No Mind to the Rabble: This is my baby. My only true 'verse. Yeah, it's post-N.F.A Spike and yeah, Xander comes back from Africa, but I love it. There's Spike & Illyria friendship, Drusilla & Xander friendship and X/S subtext. There's also two ficlets (one written for crazydiamondsue and the other for stoney321 that are background-ish for this 'verse). I was all about this fic and then I was computerless. I will finish this, oh yes, I will finish it.

2. Sky to Gold: My Lindsey ficlet. It's my country boy goes home again fic and I love my version of inner Lindsey.

3. NB/JM RPS: So long ago and far away the S6 dailies came out and James kissed Nicky and fangirls squee'd. And I waited for the RPS influx and... it didn't happen. So I took it into my own hands. I love this fic because it's real to ME. Nicky's stutter and James' insecurity and it's my RPS canon dammit! It's also the only sex act I've ever penned. Irony.

4. Naming the Crayons: This is the fic that I always tell crazydiamondsue that I can't believe I wrote. It's my Xander after Lover's Walk. It's my Spike after Lover's Walk. It's my 'what if?'. It's my 'why didn't this happen?'. I love the feel of it, kinda sad, kinda suspenseful, a bit of snark and sprinkles of sexy. This is the fic that makes me a narcissist. I re-read it all the time and pat my own head.

5. The Formula for Contrition: I love this ficlet because I hated it. I signed up for winter_of_wes because karabair asked me to. Honestly, at the time I was not a hardcore Wesley gal. And write him? I barely knew him! And so I re-watched Wes scenes, I typed and deleted and typed and deleted and typed some more and posted something that at first pass was, well, passable to me and I walked away. Later on, as I answered feedback, I re-read it and something clicked and I suddenly loved it. Can't explain it, but I love it dearly.

Hee! See him singing that song is my Lindsey moment, I have an acoustic guitar kink. I made my mom come in and listen to it and she agreed with Angel when he said 'pick a style pal'. An afront to my sensibilites, I tell ya.

And in your defense you were not a huge Lindsey girl when I wrote that.

I can't decide which moodtheme to upload. General BtVS and Season 4 tied. Decisions hard.
