He's wearing his top half of an alter boy outfit and and the guy off stage playing guitar is dressed as a priest. I KNOW.

It was for a naughty, racy, Non-P.C., tongue in cheek cabaret act that he was a part of called Our Hit Parade (throwback from the 50s-60s Your Hit Parade); the theme is performers doing cabaret acts while covering sorta top 40 songs. From what I've been reading his was one of the least scandalous performances.

He's playing the xylophone because HE'S AWESOME LIKE THAT.
